My family is a beautiful theater softly glowing crimson and gold.
Mom is the experienced director who has always overseen it
From whispering and nudging to shouting and shoving in the right directions,
And though it may not always show, she knows what is best for the crew.
Kayla is the excited young actor ready to become a star
Eager and enthusiastic but unsure and confused,
Pretending to know how the productions work while entertaining the audience.
Dad is the gleaming mahogany stage
Supporting and giving us a place to stand tall,
Ready to catch anyone that stumbles.
And I am the lights, highlighting our production with my changing colors
Showcasing the talent and directing the audience’s view of our show,
Unseen by the house but essential to the production.

Twilight, it seems, has taken the world by storm. The series by Stephenie Meyer has become a best seller and has even been made into a movie…Yes, the "it" thing right now just makes me weep for what has become of the world of literature. A series about a completely useless, pathetic “ordinary” girl falling in love with an, apparently, perfect-in-every-single-way-and-we-need-pages-upon-pages-reminding-us-of-this, sparkling, creepy, abusive, “vampire” which was all based upon a dream that Meyer had…someone pinch me, please, I must be dreaming. Oh, if only.

The Twilight series, written by Stephenie Meyer, has become a smash hit all over the world, selling 25 million copies worldwide and 20 million in the United States alone. Twilight, the first book in the series, has been named a New York Times bestseller and Publisher's Weekly Best Book of the Year. Quite a shame, considering the substandard quality of these novels. A book series written by Stephenie Meyer that has captured the heart of gazillions of teenaged girls around the world. It is centered around the romance between Isabella Swan, the awkward new girl in school, and Edward Cullen, a gorgeous vampire. The worst book ever written, and a waste of time to read. Time is rather offended that people keep wasting it on such frivolous tripe. The writing is bad, clichéd, and makes absolutely no sense.
Considered the epitome of romance despite the pedophilia, abuse, and impregnation of a minor. That just screams sexy.
